Next Level Training, the folks who brought us the very popular SIRT Training Pistol, have taken it one step further, with a SIRT Training Bolt for the AR platform.

This handy piece of equipment replaces the bolt carrier group on your AR rifle and allows you to dry fire, and with each trigger pull a red dot is displayed at the point of impact.

As the videos on the company website show, this looks to be extremely effective in close quarters self defense training.

And, it’s surprisingly affordable, $150 for the red dot and $250 for the green dot. Street prices will likely be lower than that.

I know it’s on my wish list . . .  if only it weren’t so long already.
